This is my first cycle charting/temping. I am using a bbt thermometer and ive just finished TCOYF. I use the app called kindara to track so I can’t pose this question on fertility friend. My average pre- ovulatory tempuratures are between 97.8 and 98.4. according to all the charts I’ve. Seen this seems pretty high. I can’t seem to find a clear range of normal temps. I have yet to ovulate this month but on cd 1 I had a temp of 99.1.

@nataliegrace90: I switched to temping vaginally and I was astounded by how much higher my temps were. the lowest pre-o was 97.4, but it ranged all the way up to 97.8. Here is my chart if you want to take a look: fertilityfriend.com/home/cantwaittobe

My vaginal temps range between 97.9-98.4 pre-O and between 98.5-99.1 post-O. You sound just like me! Perfectly normal, vaginal temps are a lot higher than oral ones, in my case usually by about 0.5 degrees.

@nataliegrace90: Since I’ve regulated my thyroid, those are fairly normal temps for me pre-ovulation. 🙂

That’s normal for me too. Mine were much lower when I temped orally because I sometimes breathe through my mouth while I’m sleeping!
