I charted my temp for 9 days after my BFP and I basically took a pregnancy test everyday until I was 6 weeks pregnant.

It doesn’t help you know if something is going to go wrong, but it helped me at least mentally since my temp stayed up.

I continued temping for just shy of a week after my BFP just to watch my temp go up/stay up and out of curiosity..

I did this for awhile with my first BFP (which ended in an MC), and it stressed me out a ton. Personally, I don’t think its worth it. I’m pregnant again and stopped temping as soon as I got my clear BFP.  Way too easy to stress out about any random temperature fluctuation. The only way to get clear reassurance that things are ok/nothing is wrong are ultrasounds and HB checks–anything else drives you crazy with tons of possible interpretations.  I get that this is near impossible for some of us, but try not to focus on finding out all the ways to figure out if something is wrong, and just try to enjoy every day of being pregnant! 🙂

Congratulations and best wishes for a happy and healthy 9 months!

swimcat14:  I did keep temping out of pure habit. I didn’t really analyze my temps, just recorded them and went about my day. It ended in MC for me at 6 weeks and now I have that data to look back on when I get my next BFP. I can see the days and duration of my spotting before I knew anything was wrong and the day my temp dropped which kind of mentally prepared me for what I knew in my heart was happening.

It’s up to you though. I don’t let minor temp fluxuations stress me out…it’s all about the big picture anyway, but if you do then it might not be right for you. I usually skipped the weekends and just did it during the week out of habit and loving the data it created.

Big Congrats on your BFP, yay!!!!! 😀

I stopped charting after 13 DPO.  It would be way too stressful for me to temp every morning, and I know I would be constantly analyzing my chart and comparing to other pregnant/miscarriage charts.  Checking the toilet paper after going to the bathroom is enough stress for me!
