Heya! I was charting on and off for a couple of years, just to learn my cycle, then we were charting for birth control for a few months leading up to TTC (after 3 years of nothing but withdrawal for birth control) and then we got pregnant right away on our first cycle! Soo, nuts to everyone who told me that withdrawal/charting was not a valid birth control option, haha.

Cycle you got your BFP: first one trying

When did you get your BFP/how many dpo: at 9dpo I got one of those ‘am I crazy or is this the tiniest, faintest hint of a line?’ lines, on a dollar store test. Then at 10 dpo there was clearly a faint line, a bit darker the next day, then I stopped testing.

BD timing: every day from 3 days before O until the day after (and other days whenever we felt like it)

EDD: June 20

How far along are you: almost 22 weeks

Symptoms: I’m one of those lucky b*tches who has almost no symptoms but I’m sure I’ll get something soon enough. I just had a 3 am snack, haha, I am probably playing with (heartburn) fire but none of that yet! I had constipation issues during the late first trimester but thankfully no more.

Boy/girl/green/too early: girl!

I wasn’t part of the charting thread, but I am so happy to have had the experience of charting, I feel like I just know my body so much better because of it. I was worried that I had a short luteal phase since it is only around 9 to 11 days each cycle but clearly it was long enough πŸ™‚  I started charting because I was told I was on the PCOS spectrum and I was worried about my fertility so I wanted to learn as much as I could. I think the doctors went a little overboard and did not factor in the fact that I was just coming off the pill, when I was ‘diagnosed’, because my symptoms are barely there (like.. 6 hairs on my chin) and my periods are now regular, albeit pretty tight cycles. Maybe it will get worse with age or something, but for now I’m going with “I’m actually totally fine,” and I have charting to thank for that confidence!
