Hi wonderful Bees!
I’ve just started this whole charting thing on fertilityfriend.com and I’ve found the site to be quite confusing!! Anyone else with the same opinion?
or what other online sites are good or are recommended? or is fertility friend .com still the best?
Many thanks! and baby dust to all!

From my experience most bees use fertility friend, a few use TCOYF or both. I find fertility friend easier. You definitely get the hang of it pretty quickly just spend some time playing around with the different menus. Best of luck in your charting/ TTC journey!

I used Fertility Friend – but not like most who are TTC do. I did not take my temp or anything like that – I just used to to mark the start of my period and end of my period – with the time in between making note of when I had a positive/negative ovulation strip so that I could chart my ovulation. I tried to make it easy on myself – and we were not TTC – just NTNT – and here I am 5 month pregnant. Don’t stress yourself out by looking at ALL of the information and statistics on there – it can make your head spin. Keep it simple 🙂

@cjfs: I have FF and TCOYF, and I strongly prefer FF over TCOYF. I was confused with FF at first, but I took the charting course and after a month of charting I was much more comfortable 🙂 I think you just need to throw yourself in there!
TCOYF goes by FAM, and FF can go by FAM as well (fertility awareness method) but FF also has the option to do an advanced ovultation detector that can help if your cycles, temps, CM, etc… do not seem to be as clear and can help pinpoint your O. My last cycle TCOYF couldn’t pinpoint my O because of their rules but FF did.
I hope I didn’t confuse you more 🙂

I used FF but I stuck to just charting the start/end of my cycle and I try to note symptoms around the time of ovulation. I don’t really know how to use many of the functions either.

@aliu19: I used FF, but I wasn’t temping. I’d just chart everything else, start/end cycle, days of BD’ing, OPK status, and CM. Took a bit of getting used to, but I used the iPhone app which was pretty easy to figure out after a day or so of playing with it.

@cjfs: I use FF, I was VERY overwhelmed at first, but you get accustomed quickly! =)

YOu will get used to it, but a phone app lile p-tracker helps as well, much easier to follow.

I used FF, but I didn’t temp, I just used OPKs and checked cervical fluid and position. It’s kindof weird looking at first, but you will get used to it after looking at it everyday (or in my case multiple times a day to add any little symptom haha)

ok, great advice bees. i did do the online courses and saw the videos and it does seem clearer now. It’s just the interface of the online page which is confusing! Thanks to all and baby dust your way!
