I went off BCP (seasonale for 6 years) on January 9 and started charting. We’re not TTC until May (so so excited!!), but I wanted to give my body time to adjust. My first cycle was 31 days and ovulation occured on CD22. My pre ovulation tems ranged from 97 to 97.5, then post-ovulation was 97.6 to 98.2. This cycle though, my temps have been a lot lower – 96.3 to 97 and FF said I ovulated on CD 13 with my temps between 96.8-97.3.
My question is – do your temps vary a lot between cycles? My post ovulation temps this cycle are lower than my pre ovulation tems last cycle. Is this normal? Could it be my body adjusting to being off the pill? I’m still amazed that I O’d at all so soon after getting off the pill.

I think you need to give it at least 3 months from getting off BCP to see any sort of a pattern and it might even be longer with having been on the pill for so long. My cycle length was pretty much the same right from the start but my O date adusted itself over about 3-4 months. I wouldn’t worry to much about the temp range for now. I would look at it next month or even in April. Are you using a charting site?

I agree that your cycle is probably ajusting right now, it could take a few months for things to get to “normal”. There are things that could effect your temps, like if you changed thermometers or were taking any meds last cycle.

Sooooo jealous you O’d right after coming off the pill. You lucky duck! I’m almost 3 months out now with no O in sight.
