I used the Walgreens brand basal body thermometer.  It worked great, stored the last reading so you don’t have to write it down right away, and only beeps once the temp is done.  It isn’t backlit but since it stores the last reading, it wasn’t a big deal to me.

I use a Walgreen’s one too. But I think mine is an older model. I’ve been using it for 4 years and just change the battery out. I tried to buy a new one from there and it was a larger one that was all pink and it gives me super low temps no matter what. It’s weird. It said that my temp was 94 something and rarely shows over 96 so I threw it out. My walgreens one is white with a pink tip on the end. I do recommend one that stores temps, you will find it helpful. I’ve heard decent reviews of one from Target too.

I have the BD Basal and while I just started charting, I really don’t like it. Maybe mine’s defective or I just use it wrong, but it is really annoying. It doesn’t clear the last temp easily and I have to push the button a million times. First thing in the morning, that’s really irritating. I think I’m gonna get the Walgreens one.
