Has anyone had their wedding or attended a wedding at this venue? My fiance and I went to an open house there tonight. We LOVED the ambiance, the building, and the rooms, however, dinner and dancing are in separate rooms due to the structure of the building. We were uneasy about this. The manager said if we have less people (100-120…. we were thinking 120-130 so not a huge decrease) we can remove two tables and have dancing and dinner in the same room. We’re unsure because we love the venue itself, and pictures would be GORGEOUS! It is totally a “me” vibe, and Fiance loves anything with history. There are a few things we would need to iron out but I’m torn because I don’t think I will like anything as much as this venue!
Check out the pictures and give me your opinions!

I want to have my wedding there too!! I made my SO take me to see it one night…I think it’s STUNNING! I was however, worried about the appearance of the back…it looked very unfinished. I’m not sure if they were doing some construction….? The 2 separate rooms wouldn’t stop me from a place of such beauty. I read on another board that a previous bride had flatscreens in the dining area of the dance floor, and that seemed to bridge any gap. I don’t know the logistics of it, but that is absolutely the place I plan to use one day! Were you quoted a price at all? I’m curious how much per plate. Good luck!!

i was seriously considering this place until my fi shot down the idea of a long island wedding. their price range is 85-125 depending on month and day and they do have a 125 person minimum for all days. when i was looking, i was in contact with Dan at lessings who was very helpful and propmpt to respond.
to the op, I don’t know what your budget is or how far you’re willing to travel but, Pleasantdale Chateau in west orange nj is very similar(historic mansion built in the French provincial style) but has a full banquet room with a huge dance floor. hope this helps!
