Perhaps check deals on Groupon or Livingsocial? They often have really awesome deals, you could get a couples massage or something for like $40!

For family I plan to Bake Christmas Goodies and put in a pretty inexpensive tin or box.

For Fiance…we aren’t doing anything except stocking stuffers! =) We always get each other socks & undies and usually an ornament.

What about an Engagement Ornament? or Wedding Ornament for next year?

Best of Luck!

Are you crafty? You can make him a photo album/photo collage of his family photos, or photos of you guys together. Sew/knit him a blanket, scarf, hat, or gloves. Have a friend do a broudoir photoshoot of you, print photos at home, and make the album yourself. Make infused alcohol (punk domestics has lots of good recipes on this). Make peppermint bark (try soulemama’s recipe). Make a coupon book with your guy in mind (ie: one week straight of watching star trek, one steak dinner, one sexual…). Embroidery something special and frame it.

A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach…. I”m sure whatever cheap thing he comes up with will not compare to what you give him, lol, guys just aren’t creative.

@Legallyblondiebride: I truly love sentimental gifts! and though Fiance might not admit it, he does too! =)

With the wedding so close to Christmas this year…Im debating whether or not to put up the tree, that’d be a first for me, but still don’t know. Its our Watson’s (our doggie) first Christmas with us since his adoption!

You could also focus a bit on things you can do together, e.g. a gift card to the movie theater ($20), along with some boxes his favorite candy or the like to sneak in. 🙂

If you go to stores like Tj maxx, Marshalls, burlington you can actually get really nice things for much less than the regular price in the store

@Legallyblondiebride: This isn’t an idea for your Fiance but i just wanted to brag about (what I think is) a good idea! I’m a teacher and I wanted to get a little something for my work friends… so I got a package of ornaments with the same ornament in different colors (kind of like clear glass with a plaid pattern in colored glitter) and I got mini bags and am giving one to each person. I spent $6.99 on the ornaments, and $2.99 for a three pack of mini bags. Total = $12.97, 6 ppl, 2.16/person! And we are going to a few xmas parties, so I did the same thing with nicer ornaments… 7.99 for a pack of three, 3.66/person with bags (they are bronze colored glass shaped like acorns with seed beads covering the top, the “cap” shape if you will). And my family’s nickname in croatian is Owl, so i got gorgeous white porcelain owl ornaments for 7.99 for three (one for me, my mom, and aunt). They were all purchased at T.J. Maxx… love their deals!!

I would try amazon, overstock, or macys or lord & taylor using their awesome coupons. If you have a marshall’s or T.J.Maxx I recommend that, too.

I got my Fiance gifts from Vistaprint. They were having one of their 40+ items free sale, which they do every so often, so I got him a couple things for free. I made him a desk calendar with pictures of us for his office. I made him a silly T-shirt, which I don’t expect him to wear in public. I also made him a pen with his name on it. All I had to pay for was shipping which wasn’t bad at all.
