I am soo wary now seeing all the wedding and party websites, especially when it came to dresses…. theres no doubt in my mind that the $300 version of my dress is a rip off or a copied fake!
I know there’s a good amount of DIY’ers here and beside the classifieds, where have you guys shopped online for facors and general reception needs?
Most of our guests don’t have high expectation nor care, that we have high end china coordinated with silverware (though if I could afford it, I would do it, lol..) so the concern is minimal.
I am also looking into pricing to see how much it is worth pulling off the reception on our own, vs a local golf club that has all inclusive for about 2000, to included, tables, linens, plateware, buffet, basic drinks, DJ, invites, and coordination services. (and free ceremony if we want it.)

Not sure what you’re looking for exactly, are you asking for vendors, venue, craft supplies, etc? Or is this just a general inquiry for vendors/suppliers that were good?

efavormart.com is amazing. Great prices. Also tradesy.com is great. Find awsome deals. It a sellers site, people are on there to sell the products theyhave used for events. Very good!

- Wedding: November 2013 - Stillwell House
I ordered my personalized favors thru a sale on theknot.com – the pricing was not bad at all. They became even more of a bargain after they failed to ship me the third (smallest) box, thought I had rejected the whole shipment, and credited my PayPal account in full for the order.
orientaltrading.com is a site I ahve ordered from before for work events. They are reputable and thrifty.

I shopped on The Knot (a LOT–favors, personalized mugs, etc), Save On Crafts (for my cupcake tree and tons of other crafty stuff), Etsy (for gifts for parents), Personalization Mall (gift for MOH), Zazzle (other things).

I bought my favors on http://www.weddingfavordiscount.com and didn’t have any issues.

@crisaquarius24: I got paper products from paperandmore.com, ribbon from bbcrafts.com, napkins I purchased from Amazon (my husband gets bonuses from his company for Amazon), flowers I purchased from fiftyflowers and Costco (DIY), and the rest is michaels and hobby lobby. Hope this helps 🙂

From my experience, doing it on your own really adds up. We have to rent the tent, china (which honestly was super cheap…$0.40/plate), tables, linens, chairs, etc plus delivery fees, tax, setup and all of that. I would have died for an all inclusive for $2000 that included all that. I highly doubt you will get it cheaper “a la carte”.
