Hi! I’m new to any of this wedding stuff. I recently got engaged to my partner of 7 years and we have set a date. We are currently looking for venues in northern california perferrably but we are willing to move around if the price is right. Just wanted to know if anybody on here has suggestions on what affordable outdoor wedding venues are out there. We would like to keep the venue at a max of $2000. We will have around 100-120 guests (rough estimate).

Take a look at Roaring Camp Railroad. I’m getting married there in September, and it’s quite reasonable.

How far north? I live in Humboldt so I’d be glad to suggest places =). There’s lots of “groves”… Women’s Federation Grove is popular and very pretty, Pamplin Grove is pretty, Humboldt Botanical Garden is more expensive but VERY nice…. I’m getting married at Sequoia Park (right next to the zoo). I’m renting the Gazebo but for a wedding that size you’d probably want the Windstorm Meadow.
Those are all inexpensive to rent but keep in mind, they don’t come with chairs/etc, so that’d be an added cost. Also, I don’t know if you’re having the wedding and the reception at the same place or if you’re even doing both a wedding and a reception but you’d have to factor in tables, tablecloths, etc for some of those areas (some of those areas have picnic tables).
If you’re interested in Sequoia Park at all, I’d be glad to post my location scouting pictures =)
