You don’t have to get it altered at the store where the dress is purchased. You can just take it to a different place for alterations.

Do you even like the cheaper dress or does it look “cheap”?  Who care where you buy a gorgeous dress?  You can take it to any seamstress you want for the alterations, which will probably be a lot cheaper somewhere other thana bridal store.

Buy the dress you LOVE. Not the one that’s in a nicer store…unless it’s the dress that speaks to your heart.

ferny:  I don’t understand why you can’t just buy the cheaper dress and get it altered somewhere else. It doesn’t matter where the dress came from if it’s the exact same dress.

If it is the same dress, they should be exactly the same since they would be coming from the same designer.

ferny:  If they’re the exact same dress, I say buy the cheaper priced dress and have another seamstress (one at you like) alter the dress for you. Why pay more for the exact same dress.

I’d buy the dress at the cheaper store. Take it to alterations elsewhere.
