aljeca1208 :  Where are you in Canada? Here in Ottawa I know of one jeweler who works in it. (Or you can come to my place and see mine)

Ebay has cheap moissanite, but the colour isn’t great – I hear it’s made in India or / and China. At least you’ll get an idea of what it’s like. I love MoCo’s moissanite – that’s where I’ve purchased my 2 rings from. You can get loose stones there as well.

Jtv has charles and colvard and you can return it minus the shipping charge, but the forever one is much better

You can always have it shipped to a ship place in the US if you’re near the border (duh and I have a business and tons of our customers do this). I think eBay is the cheapest even for f1’s…there are plenty selling those on eBay too. Harro gem (sp)? Aka mymoissanite on instagram also sells some beautiful looking moissy and they are in Vancouver.

anonbbee :  I can’t atest to the quality regarding other moissys, as I only have these two that I got from ebay out of curiosity. Also, the ones I bought are colored – cognac and blue (can’t seem to find a pic of it right now). They are nicely cut and have beautiful sparkle.

aljeca1208 :  conger’s Jewelers at Carling and Kirkwood carry Moissanite as well as white sapphire, lab-grown diamonds, and Canadian diamonds. The owner – Dave Conger – says he likes to offer people a lot of choices.

I’m in Kanata – but wouid be happy to show you my two Moissanite rings in person. Let me know if you’re interested. I have a full eternity band 2.5mm – in classic Moissanite – and an antique reproduction in Forever Brilliant. This is the two together..,

baunie :  how much did you end up paying for the one in the photo? That’s a pretty stone. I do s lot of jewelry making (silver only) – I’m just wondering if it’s not too expensive I might order some. What size is that?

I second JTV. JTV has a killer sale with free shipping right now. I just ordered a 5.5mm .60 carat round moissanite solitaire ring for like $68. It has a 5 star rating. It was on clearance which is also 15% off right now. Plus I got it on a 5 month stretch pay….couldn’t resist. They have plenty other reasonably priced moissanite jewelry and loose stones also.

Charles and Colvard stated that Jewelry Television uses their Forever Classic moissanite which is JK in color(which I don’t mind). I hear that JTV uses old stock of the forever classic moissanite that is inferior in quality than what Charles and Colvard directly dispearses. I sent CC an email asking about this tonight and am waiting for an answer. Maybe that was in the past or just a false rumor. However, for that price and their awesome return policy, I’m willing to take a chance. Most of the mossy jewelry and stones on jtv’s website has excellent ratings. I will post a picture when I receive it.
