I just need to wash the bazillion mason jars that I have collected and tie twine around the mouth of the jars. I am sure that now that I typed this a million other loose ends will need repair. I am just floating along dealing with the small things at this point. How about you Miss Candy Apple, did you get those invites out?

I’m just starting to look at all the little details, like day of time line, asking people to give speeches, etc. My dress jsut arrived today, so I’ll go for my first fitting on thursday.

Then I’ve got all my pew markers to make, centerpieces to get togehter (even though they can’t be assembled until day of – jars with sand hard  to transport)

It’s just all the little things that need to be done. Was supposed to pick out the meal today, but FH is off to the ER with suspected food poisioning, so that got bumped till thursday as well.

I meet with a seamstress next week to get my dress shortened, it already fits perfectly. I’m getting my invites out and I’m ready to roll!

We sent out the invitations on Saturday…but our moms kept commenting that it was too early!  I just wanted to get the boxes of invitation out of the apartment pronto since I was worried I’d end up spilling water all over them and messing them up.

Biggest stuff left to do is making final decisions on day before wedding stuff, reception timeline, second dress fitting, and figuring out transportation.  We’re slowly gathering items for the Out of Town bags each time a new set of Costco coupons comes out.  I delegated some stuff like escort cards to my parents so I refuse to keep it on my personal to do list :).

The wedding seems so close but also still so far away at the same time!!!  I have 200 menus that need to be spray glued to cardstock…quite possible the worst project I have undertaken thus far!

Just waiting for RSVPs to come in…today was a slow day–only 3 of them!

Invites are out. Just got the cake squared away. Today I found a card box, a basket for our programs, a candelabra for the chapel for the ceremony, and a couple more milk glass pieces I needed. Oh, and Thank You cards. I also started sitting down and trying to figure out how to make and put together programs but they are currently the bane of my existence as they are totally stumping me.

Can you believe it’s coming so fast? These next few weeks are the calm before the storm.

We’re doing our honeymoon before the wedding, so that’ll make it come even faster! We leave for the honeymoon on July 22 and come back on July 31. After that, we’re driving straight to my parents’ house in Napa so we’ll have a full two weeks before the wedding to help get everything put together.

What I have to do:

– Send out rehearsal dinner invites

– Do program fans

– Order flip flops for reception

– Order christmas lights for lighting above the reception

– Finalize the reception layout

– Finalize rentals

– Put together favors

– Wait for the rest of the RSVPs

I think that’s all! The most of the work is the time that we’re home, since we’re doing practically everything ourselves.

I can’t wait!!
