We are checking in donning our wedding attire.  We’re staying at a Casino in town and hoping we get free-bies and upgrades lol.  We gamble there occassionally and get rewards in the mail occassionally.  We plan to use one of our discount stays for that night but hope we can get an upgrade in the room (We’ll pay about $50 for our room with the discount normally rooms are $200/night.  Honeymoon suite is $550/night!!!).

If checking in with your dress on doesn’t get some good things out of it than why do we even wear one lol.

We did. There was a big line at the counter and everyone lets us cut in front of them. 😉 Well, I should say that they let my husband in front of them. I stayed in the car because it took quite a bit of work getting me and my whole dress safely in there, haha!

Our friends did. The funniest thing was that they sped off to the hotel in a sports car and we arrived at the hotel after them, having already checked in. So funny seeing them standing at the counter, her in a full gown, saying, “And we have the honeymoon suite?” Yes, yes you do.

We checked into our hotel at midnight, in our dresses! Lol.  I wanted to check in before I got my hair done, and it didn’t work out.  Too crazy.

So we checked in, in our gowns.  The front desk person was like “Congratulations!”  when I walked up (wife was far behind me) and then he’s like “Oh theres two of you!” Lol.

The only thing I recommend is don’t forget a hanger to hang up your dress and the garment bag if at all possible!

We forgot to book a room for our wedding night and was calling around after the reception for a room with a jacuzzi. Well the prices were ridiculous so we said wewould take a king size room. When we went into the room it was the jacuzzi room for a regular size room price. THank God I had my dress on!!!

We did, and of course we got the upgrade! I booked the room through a discount site AND got the upgrade! 🙂

I was not planning on getting a hotel for the wdding night but we’re thinking about it now and if that happens, I’ll be checking in in my reception dress (a shorter more fun dress).

You can arrange with the hotel for someone else to check you in, but I see no problem with checking in while in your wedding dress. Kind of sounds like fun.

I was planning on changing into a smaller white dress for when we leave our reception, mainly because I thought I’d be too shy to walk into a hotel and check in while wearing my huge wedding gown. Thanks to this thread, though, now I think I might just do it! 🙂

Haha! Yes, I totally plan to check in with my dress on 🙂 We are going straight there from the reception, and far enough away that there’s no real way to check in earlier.

Yep I did, but we had already booked a suite (not the big one a little one)  and the big suite was holding a hotel party.  Why do I know this?  Well because the guy smoking a black and mild in the elevator told me.  He also asked if we just got married and then gave us fist bumps.  It was HILARIOUS.  (This is a very nice hotel in the middle of the city, and no smoking is not allowed anywhere in this hotel.)
