Omgosh, how frustrating for you! It floors me that people just take things that don’t belong to them. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

MrsYellowDaffodil:  Ugh, some people! FI’s car window was broken and stuff stolen from it a couple months back and it’s just such an invasion! I can’t imagine having a whole car stolen. I hope that you can get everything straightened out and back to normal soon! Hopefully they are able to get security cam footage or something and catch the criminals.

MrsYellowDaffodil:  Ugh. That happened to my husband last winter. They ended up finding it, about half a mile away, with all the wheels stolen and with serious bumper, interior, and gear-shift damage. It was in the shop for a month. Not to mention, we never feel completely safe now. I’m so sorry OP. Not sure if I can cheer you up, but hopefully knowing that other people have been through this helps!!

MrsYellowDaffodil:  I’m so sorry this happened to you!. I had a car stolen too, and it was quite a shock. I kept thinking someone has borrowed it ( duh) for the first few minutes. Police found it stripped and full of needles. People really suck sometimes.

I was just looking at a map of regional car theft favs, and the accord is number one in many states. It’s a great car.

Bottom line,   the good news is no one was hurt and your family is all safe.

I’m so sorry. FI’s car was stolen and the cops actually found it a few days later. Turns out a 15-year-old broke into it and was joyriding on the freeway. I remember feeling absolutely sick to my stomach about it and so violated. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how people can be so cruel to steal things from others. Especially since it was a piece of junk car that my Fiance (a grad student at the time) had for years and was pretty much his most valuable possession. Sigh. People just suck sometimes.

Hope you cheer up and move past this. Here’s a start:

MrsYellowDaffodil:  Just saw you’re in San Jose. I wouldn’t give up ALL hope… I mean FI’s car was stolen in Oakland and found by CHP there. And it was an old Civic so we didn’t have high hopes for it either. Anyway, no matter what happens, wishing you well and thinking of you!
