we’re doing both. he doesn’t care for cake at all and i do. so the wedding cake is cake and his grooms cake is cheese cake. a huge plain one with bowls of different toppings out every where so people can chose if and what they want to top it with.

I don’t like cheesecake, so I say cake cake.

I think tradational cake is the safer bet when it comes to pleasing the masses 🙂

My cake baker offers a “vanilla cheesecake” flavor of regular cake.  SO EXCITED!

Neither, I would have pie! But I’m biased because we are having pie and I LOVE pie.  But we are having cheesecake too.  So I guess Cheesecake! Haha

I much perfer regular cake than cheese cake. Even though the votes seem to be pretty even on this one, you have to remember that you know your guests best. So I would probably do a traditional cake and probably also serve one or two cheese cakes on the side.

Although I LOVE cheescake, I think for a wedding, it’s a bit rich for some people. Serving regular cake would be your safest bet.

Both! LOL! I think if I had to choose, I would say cheesecake because it’s something I don’t get to have often so it would be more of a treat for me.

I would love cheesecake, but my husband can’t have milk so he’d be out of luck.

i wouldn’t recommend cheesecake for a wedding cake. i worked at a banquet hall and if the cheesecake wasn’t cold enough it would droop and lean and when you cut it you lost a lot on the knife. we always hated when people had cheesecake wedding cakes. lol

Personally I love cheesecake, but I know lots of people who just don’t like it–they say it’s too heavy. I also think sarbear2814‘s point about getting the temperature just right are important–you don’t want to risk having a droopy mess if the venue gets too hot.
