My fiancé and I went to the demo and got sucked and purchased their cookware. After having second thoughts, doing some research and talking with my parents (who got scammed too when they got married over 30 years ago), we decided to cancel our order. We read over the purchase contract and did exactly what it said to do to cancel the order. We made sure that everything was mailed within the 3 business days after we signed the contract. Much to my surprise the next week, the packages started to arrived. I called Chef World and asked what I needed to do to return the products since I had cancelled my order. Chef World stated that they didn’t receive my notice of cancellation and that I was now suck with the merchandise or a store credit!! I don’t want either; I want the contract voided. I’m going to continue to fight my battle against them to get my money back, but BUYER BEWARE…THERE IS NO RETURN POLICY, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR ORDER IN WRITING WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS AND YOU HAVE TO CALL AND CANCEL YOUR ORDER OVER THE PHONE. It isn’t stated anywhere on the contract that you should call, but I was told that I needed to.
You’d think that a company that’s been around for as long as Chef World has been that they would have an upstanding reputation…but no. They are making money off of couples who are trying to start their life off together on the right foot; not a few grand in debt.
