Those who saw my previous post will know I’m currently going through my third CP. However this one is very different. My first one, I had a very faint positive and it only ever got marginally darker before getting light and then not at all. I also had no symptoms, and experienced spotting from the moment I took the test. The second one, I refused to test more than once as I knew it would worry me. I got a slightly darker but still very faint positive at 11dpo. Had a few symptoms such as heightened sense of smell and tender breasts. These disappeared a few days later, virtually over night and bleeding started a couple of days later but I could already feel that I was no longer pregnant.
This time I took a test at 10dpo, after experiencing two days of moderate bleeding (not as heavy as a normal period). I got a positive darker than the one I’d taken at 11dpo of my previous pregnancy. The bleeding ceased completely after 2 days and was told bleeding can be normal. I tested again at 14dpo and the test line was darker than the control (will include a photo). I also had strong symptoms from the time of my positive including really bad nausea, loss of appetite, tender breasts and frequent urination. I had two days of really extreme lower back pain around the time my period would have been due, and then these symptoms gradually lessened, except the nausea which seemed to disappear over night a few days later.
I feel so confused as all my CPs have followed a different progression. I no longer feel like I can trust my body, and I don’t understand how things could start out so good this time, only to end so badly 🙁

Are you sure you’re having a CP now? That’s a really strong line for 14dpo!

have you tested since? I agree that the positive is very strong and you could still be pregnant. Symptoms can come and go for some women in the first trimester.

I didnt even have symptoms until a good week after my bfp. So I wouldn’t worry too much about symptoms. That’s a strong line.

Bee, I think you should go in and get checked out. I think you may either a) be pregnant and experienced implantation OR SCH bleeding… or b) you may be having an ectopic. I don’t think the ectopic is likely since the bleeding and pain stopped, but I wouldn’t take the risk. HCG can still be high in an ectopic and it would be worth ruling out. Fingers crossed for you!

I think there’s a chance that this is not a CP.
If you can, perhaps try to get in for an early scan. I went for one two days after my positive to confirm that I wasn’t having an ectopic pregnancy because I was having cramps (that my GP thought weren’t normal). The sonographer was able to pick up a gestational and yolk sack in utero, and my pregnancy has progressed as normal.
All the best 🌸

I just wanna add that if the only reason you think you’re losing this pregnancy is that your nausea disappeared and other symptoms lessened…the same exact thing happened to me around 4.5-5 weeks and I now have a healthy 6 month old. I remember panicking cause I had really distinct nausea right around the time of my missed period…but then it completely went away for the better part of a week. It ended up coming back with a vengeance when I was around 6 weeks along but that in-between time was super stressful especially given my MC history. I hope that’s all this is for you!!

if you haven’t had your hcg checked by a doctor I don’t believe you’re havjng a CP. The test wouldn’t have gotten such a strong line.
A lot of people lose symptoms and feel because of that it won’t survive but that’s completely wrong….my coworker is due August 4th with her “lost early symptoms freakout” baby. The bleeding and strong back pain can be completely normal. There are people who have a subchorionic hemorrhage (sp?) and bleed a lot more than 2 days. Call to see if you can get some hcg levels drawn and an early scan to make sure it’s in the right spot.

I guess my question is: how do you know this is a CP? I had several CPs in a row after a MMC and then the last cycle I was pretty sure was a CP. I had bad cramping, spotting, and it felt all kinds of wrong. However, turns out nothing was wrong and the lines did not go away. I hope that’s the case with you.

This does not seem like a CP to me at all- definitely get into the doctor for an HCG draw to calm your nerves about this.

I would definitely get in and get those numbers read! It sounds like you could have a viabe pregnancy.

I would call your OB and have your HCG tested.
I wouldn’t bother with a scan this early as there’s really not much to see.

This doesnt seem liek a CP at all. Please go get you HCG tested.
It is pretty common to have bleeding early on in pregnancy. Is there any other reason you think you are having a CP?
