- Wedding: July 2011
Ok, so we are thinking baout somehow combining a Charry Blossom and Theatre theme cohesively in our wedding. I LOVE Japanese culture (Without the Manga and other related things. Think super traditional Japan.) and so my fiance proposed to me in the Japanese gardens right when the cherry blossoms were blooming so obvioulsy that has important meaning to us (and he REALLY wants it encorperated into our wedding). My entire life I have also been so completely submerged in theatre and so again, that is important to me too. So, when we found our we could get married at the Bass Performance Hall in Ft Worth we were exctatic! So, of course the theatre theme came about to tie into the venue.
Here is what we have come up with so far for the Theatre aspect:
~The Broadway Musical centerpieces that will double as a game with the DJ (When a song from the tables Broadway Musical is played that table MUST get up and dance)
~Our invitations are going to be styled like tickets (but that is subject to change)
For the Cherry Blossom aspect:
~A Cherry Blossom tanabata tree (wish tree)
~Centerpieces that are tall vases filled with water with a charry blossom branch in it and a floating candle ontop
~Our Save The Dates have Cherry Blossoms
~The Cake was going to have Cherry Blossom pattering on in.
Our colors are teal and brown (with hints of pink for the Cherry Blossoms)
My only fear is that it will look like two totally seperate ideas trying to meld into one. OUr wedding is already going to seem weird enough because it is going to be a Jewish/Christian wedding.
