I have a GHD, and I love it! It isgreat for curling hair as well!

I have used a CHI before and it was really great as well.

Either one is better than the average drug store straightener.

Never tried it, but I saw some at TJ Maxx last week for about $70.  Still too much for me since I’m lazy and generally go with a bun or ponytail every day.  I’ve gotten good deals on hair stuff on Amazon.

I LOVE my Chi straightener.  Its the only brand I use now.  I have never had my hair so straight before.  I have course, curly hair (thanks to my Irish roots) and could never get my hair straight before.  I went to a salon one day for a cut and was complaining about how I envied girls who could straighten their hair.  The girl said “Oh you’ve just never had a good straightener” and when she finished I literally cried.  I bought one that day and haven’t looked back.

I bought it on sale for $100.  And I’ve had the same one for 5 years.  Only once after I dropped it on the floor did it stop working.  I thought for sure I had to replace it but Fiance told me he’d try to fix it before I spent any money (he’s so cheap lol).  Sure enough a wire came loose when I dropped it.  He fixed it and it works fine ever since.

I love it!  Check out overstock.com. If I remember correctly I got mine for $75 (It was a special at the time).  I normally don’t spend a lot of money on products like that but I’m glad I did.  🙂

I adore my CHI products, especially my hair wand. I have a pretty thick mane, so blow drying my hair could easily take 20-30 minutes. The CHI hair dryer and straightener have cut down my morning prep time significantly so I consider it money well spent.

love it!! it heats up super fast, gets SUPER hot, and is the only straightener i’ve had that can actually curl hair in addition to straightening it.

Worth every penny. I’ve had mine for about 5 years now. I don’t use it every single day, but quite often. I’ve used cheapy straighteners before and was in awe when I saw how fast it heats up and how quickly I can get my hair straight.  My aunt reprimanded me for using the cheaper brand ones (she owns a salon).

I do recommend a hair protector/to use with it, which helps on the heat damage but also the flyaways/static if you have dry hair like me.

I have a Chi, its awesome!! If you buy it at bed bath and beyond or Harmon you can use one of the 20% off coupons.  Also, hold onto the box and your receipt, because if it breaks they’ll let you exchange it indefinitly.  I recently exchanged a 4 year old Babyliss blow dryer that I dropped and cracked in half.  They just exchanged it for a similar one, no questions asked!!
