@pineapplelove:  LOL!!! I am actually renting a couple for my bridal shower… they are $4 per. Not too bad seeing that I only need 20 🙂

My venue had them, but I will never understand the obsession with them or paying hundreds extra to have them.  They’re fine, but I don’t think they are particularly attractive (they look so insubstantial).

We included them in our package at $8/chair. Then I realized how absolutely ridiculous that was. I don’t remember the chairs from any wedding that I’ve been to. Period. They were crossed off the list!

LOL I thought the same thing…I have never been to a wedding with these chairs. Weddings I have been to always had chair covers. So naturally, when I first started planning, I thought chair covers were just a given.

I went to a venue that had Chiavari chairs included and when I enquired about how much chair covers would be I was scoffed at and told: “You do NOT, under ANY circumstances cover a Chiavari chair!!”  Woowww Nelly, I had no idea that apparently chiavaris are the Cadillac of chairs

ETA: I did not pick this venue. When I enquired about Chiavari chairs at my chosen venue, I was told I would have to outsource them (best price was $10 per chair) PLUS pay the venue $0.50 a chair to store the ones I am not using. Ya…not happening.

The venue that we had before revamping our plans had them, they were the only chairs we used so we wouldn’t have had to pay for them… But I didn’t even know they were the “fancy” chairs until I looked on here and someone was talking about them and posted a pic. I was like “hmm, how about that”

But we’re not going with that venue anymore, and we’ll have regular ol’ plastic chairs in our church’s life center. They work just the same IMO. lol.

Sigh, I guess I am one of those crazies who cares about chairs! 0:)  I think they look soooo much nicer than the default chairs that my venue has, so we are paying about 8 bucks a chair to get them.  I really think they change the entire look!

I’m the odd one out here, I love chiavari chairs!  I think they look really pretty, especially compared to the conference-room type chairs many venues use.  Our venue uses them excusively, so we aren’t paying extra for them.  I wouldn’t pay thousands extra to have them over regular, covered chairs, but I have to admit that including the chiavari chairs in the facility fee did sweeten the deal!  :0

@Luv2BeachIt:  You are so lucky that your venue has them!!  See my previous post, sadly our venue doesn’t so we are paying extra.  It kind of sucks (I think it’ll be a little over a thousand) but I do feel like it’s worth it.

Luckily I didn’t have to decide if I should pay for them since my venue comes with them.  I do think they look nice though!
