Yes, I sat on them before and they aren't that bad.

No , not comfy at all from experience.

When I first told FH that I wanted Chivaris, his only question was “Are they comfy?” haha I am making sure he never sits in one until the wedding, because the free chairs at our venue are hideous!

Maybe “flimsy” wasn’t the right word, but I do find Chiavari chairs to be less comfortable and not as well made as regular banquet chairs.  I do think they look better than regular banquet chairs though, but they just aren’t worth the extra money if your venue doesn’t already provide them.  Chair covers can do wonders in making regular banquet chairs look beautiful.  I think they are so cozy and pretty looking too!

I should mention that they come free with our venue… we prob wouldn’t pay to upgrade 🙂

I’m having those chairs at my wedding.  I sat in one when we did a consultation w/the venue and I didn’t find them uncomfy.  I think they’re gorgeous and they’re included in my venue so no rentals for us!
