I currently have a chair obsession that I need help with! My fiance doesnt understand!
I have been obsessed with chiavari chairs but they are very expensive to rent in my area.
I attached three pictures of the reception room. Please let me know which one you think looks best!

I really dislike chair covers so I’ll go with 1 and 3

I love the 2nd picture. I take it those are the house chairs that are covered with satin?
I think it looks gorgeous and the guests will be comfortable!

Like GroovyHippieChick, I have a weird aversion to chair covers. They almost become the focal point of the room with all of the white. Personally I think the banquet chairs look lovely on their own!

I love chiavari chairs personally.

I love chiavari chairs, but depending on your color scheme, the blue house chairs could work well too.

I actually lwould like 3 best. I hate the look of chair covers and I hate how uncomfortable chaivari chairs are. And I actually think the blue chairs look nice. Break up all that white space.

Chivari, hands down. I *hate* chair covers, they just rarely look good.
That being said, if Chivari are too expensive I would highly consider arranging your colors and decor to work with the blue of the chair. They definitely wouldn’t match if your colors were not the same.

i am having a similar issue. i make my more financially saavy Bridesmaid or Best Man talk me down from the $1500 chair rental once a month. chiavari chairs are pretty, but like PP said, not always super comfy, and really chair will only matter for the first 2 minutes people walk in the room. once people sit at the tables, no one will notice them.
so if you love and can afford chiavari, go for it, but if that money could be better used elsewhere (for us its a photobooth), i think the blue ones are great as is!

I actually really really like how the covered ones look, they fit with the room vibe.
I have a thing for chivaris too but decided not to go with them cause guess what.. they’re uncomfortable as hell (at least the ones around here), so for the sake of our guests Mr T convinced me not togo with them.

Chiavari, absolutely. The lime wash ones are stunning.
Chair covers are just.. bleugh.. they make the whole thing look too busy, IMO.
But I agree with the PPs who say if you can work with the blue ones, they could also work really well.

I really like chivari chairs (and dislike chair covers). I’m having the same “is it worth the money” thoughts as you. Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of the blue chairs in the picture so I might spend the money.

Thank you for all the opinions ladies!!! I’m still torn! Chiavari go for 12.50 a chair in my area and my fiance really thinks thats some sort of crazy. I also *hate* chair covers but my color scheme was going to be grey/white/pink so I thought they would allow me to keep with the colors. I don’t mind the banquet chairs but I have no idea how to incorporate the blue into the scheme.

My vote is for chiavari chairs for sure. I’m not a fan of the satin covered chairs and I just think that the 1st picture looks better in general. With that being said, if you can’t afford (or would rather not spend that much, which is totally understandable) then I would go with the blue ones as they look better than satin covered, in my opinion. I am paying for chiavari chairs so I might be biased, but I think it makes quite a difference in the setting. 🙂
