I love chiavari…. but so expensive.  I would usually vote for chair covers (what we’re doing) but I actually like those banquet chairs!

Just read your post– I would definitely not pay $12.50/chair for the chiavari.  In your case with the color scheme, go with the chair covers!  You can always do a sash in one of your other colors too.

1 & 3, once the chairs are filled with guests you won’t notice the blue as much.

1 or 2. the blue on the third one steals focus in the pictures.

I would go with the silver chair & white cushions hands down.

I think the Chiavari look the best.  I love chiavari chairs but when I saw the price tag, I came back to earth.  For me it was $1500+ for the chair rental so I veto’d.  That, to me, was a lot of money for something that really not many people will notice!

The most important thing about wedding chairs is the people who will be sitting in them. This is definitely an area where I would vote for “the extra money is not worth it,” especially if the chiavari chairs are less comfortable than the others. With the money you would be spending on them, you’re basically buying one beautiful picture of an empty room.

If you have the budget for it and it matters a lot to you, then I guess go for it, but if you are cutting people from your guest list , etc., in order to be able to afford fancier chairs … well, everyone has to make their own decisions, but that’s a trade-off I wouldn’t make.

Chiavari chairs are SO pretty, but expensive (wow, that much? our upgrade is only $5/chair) and so uncomfortable. Thankfully our banquet chairs are black. Your banquet chairs look nice and padded, so I’d go with those with the chair covers, even though I really dislike chair covers.

The Chiavari chairs are gorgeous, but keep in mind that the room won’t look like that once everyone’s seated. Half of the blue in #3 will be covered by people- you’ll only see the blue on the back. People will NOT remember what your chairs look like (except for other recent brides!)- it’s not worth the upgrade price.

I think your color scheme- grey/white/pink- will work fine with the blue- I don’t think you need to incorporate it- just consider the blue a neutral.

I love chiavari chairs, and I hate chair covers (to me, they look like pillowcases on top of a chair).

I’d pick 1, then 3, then 2 for your poll.

Depending on your wedding colors and if the blue goes with them I actually prefer 3.  But then again I loathe chair covers so anything other than 2 is fine.

If you’re in the NJ and NYC area go to

http://www.leosrental.com.. they have $5.25 chair with cushions.  Very Dependable.  Used them and loved it.

I like all 3…the 3rd pic would go with my color scheme nicely.  BUT I have metal folding chairs at my venue (I think).  Fi wants to get chair covers and I am not sure I want to spend that money on it (I do love the look though).

I love the look of the chiavari chairs but if my guests will be uncomfortable I probably would choose another option. Chair covers? Not a fan, I think they’re slippery when sat on, the sash always seems to fall of and they just look plain messy. The blue chairs arn’t to bad but if the color isn’t in your scheme that might clash. Is there another option?

I don’t like those chair covers at all!  Looks like too much I like 1 & 3 so much better!
