NY & NJ area can go to    http://www.leosrental.com  They have good service and their Chiavari chairs are affordable (Paid $5.25 with cushions).  Used them for my wedding.

I personally am in love with Chiavari chairs, was actually one of the many reasons we chose our venue. They were included at no cost. I’d go with #1

I LOVE decor. It’s what I’m splurging on – I scrimped on my dress (love it though), flowers, and other things to be able to afford the decor I want. So read this with that in mind.

I love the Chiavari chairs. I also really like the blue chairs but agree you’d want to work it into your color scheme. Also really check out the chairs at the venue and make sure they’re still in good shape – not ripped, stained, etc.

I don’t love the covered chairs, they’re a little busy for me and over the course of the night, chair covers like that tend to get lop-sided and pulled off, wrinkly, etc. They aren’t bad though and would compliment your color scheme.

The Chiavari chairs ARE very expensive. If you’re using any vendors that also rent out chairs, see if you can get a discount. I’m getting DJ, Draping, Lighting, photobooth, linens, and chair covers all from the same company. I’m using plain poly chair covers with a sash during the ceremony and then was debating chiavari or stretch chairs for the reception. He bumped me up to chiavari at no additional cost since I was spending so much in other areas and he really wanted it to look top notch (although I love stretch covers too). Getting a package deal can help you save.

Ultimately, you’ll have to decide where your priorities are. For me, walking in and having a WOW factor is huge. It just makes me so excited. I know the tables will get messed up when people eat on them and the chairs will have suit coats hanging on them, etc etc, but the photos of the venue and the decor factor is just where I’m choosing to splurge. For me, it’s worth it.

IIRC, I think our Chiavaris are costing us around $6 each though. So not bad compared to your price.
