    I just went to a wedding with clear plastic chiavari and they were suprisingly comfortable. Sitting on the wooden ones, with one-inch cushions = torture.

    @bossypants:  I probably would also choose the attractive and uncomfortable chairs over the ugly ones!

    Sequins. We did full sequin tablecloths for all our guest tables and they made a big impact. No one noticed our chivari chairs.

    @daysiee:  Full length sequins usually run in the $75-$95 range, plus some require additional underlays which is another $20 or so. We spent a lot on them but they were totally worth it, guests loved them.

    @bossypants:  I had the same conflict in my head. What I’m doing is renting the chavari chairs because chair covers look so dated and buying 2 sequin table clothes that I’m reselling afterwArds.

    I don’t think chiavaris even look better and I’ve never worn stockings to a wedding. I’m not a sequins girl myself, but I vote sequins all the way to get most bang for your buck!

    @bossypants:  Do you have them listed on Ebay/classifieds? I still haven’t ordered mine and may be interested.

    @bossypants:  Chiavari chairs all the way! They give elegance to any room! Plus, I think the VIP tables need to stand out and it’s more interesting when not all the tables are exactly the same.

    @bossypants:  Gold.

    If you got them from On the Go linens, did you find that the gold was a super yellowy gold?

    We just used full sequin linens on all the guests tables at my daughter’s wedding this past weekend.  They were fantastic and not one person complained about pulls, scratches or being uncomfortable.  I bet 50 people told me how beautiful they were though.
