@Monakana:  Hey there!

I hope I’m doing this right lol (my first post). I’m looking to have a brunch-style wedding as well.. probably in the northwest suburbs since most of my family is out there. I love the idea of having it at an art gallery somewhere on the North Shore.

Will you be hiring a catering service?

I am having a lunch (not brunch) reception at the J. Parker on the roof of Hotel Lincoln in Lincoln Park.  Their daytime rates are very reasonable.  Another place we looked at that was a really great deal (and definitely has a brunch package) was Zed 451.  They have both indoor and outdoor spaces and even let you use their shuttle busses for free!

Also Check out Volo (great outdoor space), Kitchen Chicago (Loft space), and Market (Restaurant/bar/rooftop).

In the city, one idea is Maxwell’s at the East Bank Club.  You don’t need to be a member to host a private event there.  They have a nice private room that would be ideal for 100 people.  It overlooks the Chicago River, including a covered patio, and the brunch there is always good.

LuxBar in the Gold Coast is another option.  We considered them for our post-wedding brunch.  They have a really nice large private upstairs space including patio with french doors.  I don’t recall their prices, but I know that the private brunch buffet prices at Gibsons (same owners) are very reasonable for what you get.  Good luck!

Have you looked at Zed451?  We are having our dinner reception their, but they offer brunch too.  The amount of food you get for the money is insane and the food is so good.
