Hi Chicago bees!
We’re doing our e-pics on the 23rd, and we get up to 3 locations/”outfit” changes. For 1. We were thinking the lake (near the Planetarium) at sunrise, wearing cute coats/scarves, jeans, boots for me chucks for him, possibly winter hats, depending on the weather (or how I think my hair is!). For an “outfit” change, we were thinking of wearing a sweater dress with leggings and boots (me!), and him an argyle sweater vest, with collared shirt and tie, and taking indoor pictures in Union Station. But we’re STUMPED on the 3rd scenario! There are SO many other places in Chicago, and this “scene” change doesn’t have to be local… any suggestions? Since we have an “indoor” and “outdoor” outfit planned, I don’t think we need an ourfit change? What did you do/where did you go/what did you wear for your Chicago e-pics?
ANY advice welcome, thanks in advance!

You could go to one of the bridges downtown, millenium park (the bridge is really cool) or on the river walk.
It depends on how “posed” you want all of your shots. I think taking pictures at a place the both of you go together could be fun. Do you have a favorite bar/restaurant? They can catch more candid shots…we took some at Club Lucky in Wicker Park and loved the way they came out.
I didn’t do any outfit changes…so I think two is plenty 🙂

Shots on the outdoor platforms of the EL are cute. Pick a location that has meaning to you. We have always made jokes about getting on the bar at Bar Chicago(now detention) in our wedding get-up and taking some pics. And you can borrow from actual wedding shots and stand on the median on La Salle or on the bridge at Kinzie facing the skyline. Both great places for some pretty pictures. And my last suggestion is the new bridge in Lincoln Park Zoo. Very mod and graphic. Pics look great in it. Good luck and have fun!

We had 3 locations and 3 outfit changes, as well. I have to be honest, it was a bit nuts!!! I changed in a Chinese Restaurant and our photog’s car at one point lol!
Beach/lighhouse/dunes location on the northshore. It was early September and still warm. We wore primary colors. I wore a yellow ruffle tank and white shorts with a turquoise necklace and matching shoes. My Fiance wore a white and turquoise plaid shirt and dark jeans.
Vintage Firehouse in Chicago. I wore a vintage glamish outfit– fitted pencil skirt with little jacket, black and white tank and some hot red shoes, a purse with a red scarf and I had the most perfect thin red belt but my Fiance forgot it. He wore a white dress shirt and his dark jeans. He also brought some fire equipment as props : )
City Skyline night time pics by the Shedd. I wore a blue dress and he wore an awesome Mad Men outfit from Banana Republic. My dress was shiny, I think it added another 20 pounds in the photo’s… I wouldn’t recommend shiny materials for a fitted dress. Actually, we don’t get our pics back for another 2 months, I’m a little scared of those because they did not look good on their camara 🙁
Anyways, really take the wind into account. My hair was standing above my head by the lake. It was so windy, waves spashing, ect. Thankfully, it was our last shoot.
