I don’t know that much about Chicago but I had to comment since this is the first reader post!

Miss Emerald took pics at the Park Hyatt, and you can see pics here: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/05/10/waiting-is-hard/ Good luck!

i am a new yorker, but i love chicago and have visited many times. we stayed at the Palmer House Hilton once and it has the most beautiful art deco lobby. the room we stayed in was rather small, but i’m not sure about their suites, etc.

the hotel public areas are quite beautiful though. some history: i believe the original owner, built it it for his wife.

I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton last week and the lobby is gorgeous. The only thing is they are going through a long renvovation project right now to preserve its historic value, so lots of walls and ceilings are covered with paper and lots of scaffolding is around. The rooms are nice though.

The Hilton Towers Hotel (Michigan and Balbo) is BEAUTIFUL and it’s right accross from Grant Park.

I’ve never stayed in any of the rooms there, but I have a membership at their gym so I’ve been around all the public areas inside.  The staircase in the main lobby is gorgeous and might be a great place for pics.

Also, because of it’s location accross from Grant Park it might be better than Palmer House.

Hope that helps!
