We are going with Shutterbooth.  I personally met Cheryl, the Chicago rep…very nice.  We think it will be well worth the money!  One thing I recommend is to ask for samples of the photo booth strips or print outs.  It was very apparent to me which company we would go with after seeing samples.  Some were just awful!  The paper quality of Shutterbooth was by far the best IMO.

We used The Traveling Photobooth.  Loved them and people had a blast!  Its more of a retro feel like a real photobooth and you can choose which coloring you want for your guest book (we did the retro) and then guests can choose what color they want for their strip. 100% recommend them!

Also here are some pics from there…you can also choose to have your own wedding logo on their instead of theirs but we chose not to do that option since it was more money.

I don’t know if you’re still looking, but I made a chart comparing all the photobooth vendors in Chicago I could find. Let me know if you want me to pass it on to you 🙂 !

@msgiraffe: OMG!! You are Ms. Giraffe? No way. Thanks for the excel spreadsheet you did give me about the photobooth. I used it in doing my own research. Congrats on being a bee (I did congratulate you when Mrs. Penguin introduced you but I didn’t know it was you…if you know what I mean) 🙂

My reception site actually recommendation idophotobooth.  We are using them for our wedding.

They are priced pretty similar to other companies AND they offer unlimited time on that day, free props AND the best part.

A copy of the photos for EVERYONE in the photo, plus a copy for us AND a copy for a photo album that is included.

There is a $75 charge for having to bring it downtown, but to me, that was totally worth it.

we used idophotooths and they were absolutely awesome!! everyone loved it and had so much fun! i totally recommend them. what made them stand out from other companies (among other things) was that they gave everyone in the photo a copy—whether you had 2 or 10 people—everyone got a copy. let me know if you have more ?s.

We used Traveling Photo Booth for our wedding in July 2011, and I have only good things to say.

They were very easy to work with – answered all questions, super attentive, set up and take down went off wihtout a hitch.  The booth itself looked cool (not just like a digital camera and a sheet of cloth).  The pictures were a great quality.  People got to take home an amazing souvenir that night (as many prints as you want – so everyone got a strip or two or ten…)  We all also have access to an online gallery (which ensured that everyone at the wedding changed their facebook profile pic to a shot from the photo booth!).
