I’m also wondering if any one has any thoughts on them. I contacted them for a quote as well as Shutterbox.

Thanks for the thread bluedec! Hope we get some responses!

I haven’t heard anything about either of them, but I used Shutterbooth for my wedding and they were amazing.  Cheryl there is great.  She worked with me to create a beautiful custom design to run on all the photo strips.  The attendants at my wedding were professional, helpful and friendly, and as part of the package I got a scrapbook with all the photos and guest’s signatures – the embellishments were color coordinated to match my wedding colors and it was ready to take home at the end of the night!  After the wedding I also received the digital negatives to all the images, and I even received a Christmas card with a photo bookmark of my husband and I.  I definitely recommend them!

I booked them for my wedding this upcomming fall. I have heard great stuff from my other vendors about them…but then again you know how that goes…you rub my back I rub yours type of thing. I hope thats not the case though and that they really are fabulous.

I haven’t used Chicagoland Photobooth, but hired The Traveling Photobooth for a work event in Minneapolis (bc I knew they had a Chicago office too and was hoping for a deal for our wedding in August!).  They were so great to work with in Minneapolis and my boss said everyone loved them (I was not able to go).  The next weekend I went to the Chicago Bridal Expo and got to see a ton of photobooth companies…Shutterbooth, I Do I Do, and some other forgetable ones.  The Traveling Photobooth was there and I immediately signed up with them.  Some of the other photobooths are essentially a pipe and draped area so you don’t get that whole photobooth effect.  With The Traveling Photobooth the person in the booth can also choose which kind of color they wanted (color, black and white or vintage I think?)  Anyway…so far my experiences with them have been great so I’d recommend them!  I also was able to talk them down $300 off the price which was not bad either 🙂

Also after calling around…some companies were charging for the time they were sitting there waiting (I wanted them set up by 5 so we didn’t have people see them set up during dinner…and we’d start the booth after dinner around 8p) and some companies wanted to charge $40 an hour for a “down-time” fee, when we weren’t even using it.  So make sure to ask about that as well!!! 🙂

this is good feedback, I’m going to have to check those two groups out!  I found Memento Photobooths on craiglists.  Anyone heard of them?

Hi All:

I actually got the name of a company “I Do Photobooths” from the woman at my venue.  I had a lengthy conversation with a gentleman on the phone and they have since sent me both emailed information and actual prints from their photobooth in the mail.

They only have one package and after researching, what they offer and what the price is are excellent.  We are going to be using them for our wedding next Memorial weekend 2011.

Another photo booth company to look into is Photo Booth Express (http://www.photoboothexpress.com/?gclid=CMjl-fWf-qECFRchDQodeQJTEw).

Their prices seem comparable if not better than other photo booth places I received quotes from. I didn’t want a traditional photo booth where you couldn’t fit a group of people into it comfortably, they will set up a curtained off space and you can fit 5-8 people in the shot. May not be for everyone but I have been to weddings where it is a traditional photo booth and with more than 3 people all you see are close ups of people’s faces and not everyone fits in the shot. You can also personalize the photo with your names and wedding date.
