Help us settle a debate: we’re doing a chicken dish and a salmon. Our options for the chicken dish are Baked Stuffed Chicken (cornbread and spices stuffing), Chicken Piccata, or Chicken Marsala. Which would you choose to serve as the chicken dish for a wedding of 175 people?

I love chicken marsala but I love mushrooms which I know many people dislike. I voted for the baked stuffed chicken because I think it’s more likely to appeal to the majority of people picking the meat dish.

I voted chicken piccata. It sounds the yummiest, and I agree w/ PP theres a lot of people who dont like mushrooms for some crazy reason.

I’m a really finicky eater and probably wouldn’t eat any of them (i’m not the norm, but there is always at least one.) I would say from a picky eater stand point either the baked stuffed chicken (which finicky eaters could just take out the stuffing if they didn’t care for it) or the chicken piccata.

I vote piccata or marsal. Baked chicken tends to dry out and it sounds like the stuffing is dry as well.

i voted chicken picatta because it’s like one of my fav things, but also for some more valid reasons, 1. as pp’s said, many people don’t like mushrooms. mushrooms seem to be a polarizing thing, people absolutely love them or people don’t even want them anywhere NEAR their food. and 2. a baked chicken can easily end up being dry and dead, whereas a chicken prepared & served in a sauce seems like a safer bet to me.

If I was ordering for myself I’d order the Marsala or Piccata, but if I was ordering for a number of people I’d go with the more neutral baked chicken.

I vote baked stuffed chicken. Anything involving cornbread and/or spices gets a yes from me. I agree with what a PP said about mushrooms in the chicken marsala – I like them myself but my Fiance, for one, hates them, and he’s far from the only person I’ve heard say that. Chicken piccata is bland, IMO.

Chicken Piccata! I would prefer the marsala but there’s a lot of mushroom haters.
I think piccata is fairly neutral

I vote Piccata. I love lemon, and it’s harder to mess up for a large group. I don’t like mushrooms, and I feel like a stuffed chicken would either be super dry or undercooked.

Unfortunately you can’t make everyone happy. There are mushroom haters, there are lemon haters. They’re all crazy. LOL! Have you tried the dishes by chance? I’d vote either Picatta or Marsala. I think stuffed chicken can go either way, be dried out or get undercooked more easily.

Before I stopped eating meat, I loved Marsala – hated piccata. I’d rather my guests picked mushrooms off the Marsala, if they didn’t like them, then pick all those stinking little capers, off the piccata.

I’d consider avoiding alcohol — which would knock out the Marsala and maybe the piccata depending on how they are making it.
