My Darling Husband went to court today to terminate the child support payments to his ex-wife. His daughters are 22 (aged out) and his son no longer lives with her (we were just ordered to pay support to the people he is living with). So the judge terminates the child support and the wife says that she wants a modfication because one of the girls is still in college and the ex took out a whole bunch of loans for the daughter in her own name and now has to pay them back. Could my husband be required to pay back loans that he never had anything to with? His divorce agreement was vague about paying for college, just saying each parent had to pay “what they could reasonably afford”. The ex has NEVER presented him with bills or expenses and has never allowed him to be involved in the college finances. What are our chances here?
