I don’t think being passionate about travel is necessarily a “childfree” topic. I love traveling, and having kids will not make me quit traveling (just have to budget a little more). If we don’t want to take the kid(s) when we have them, they’ll stay with their grandparents.

So far, I’ve been to Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary.  DH and I’s “short list” of where to go in the future includes Australia/New Zealand, France, Ireland, Japan, and Croatia.

If you love Mexico, I’d check out one of the eco-resorts in Tulum.

We’ve been to Morocco and Spain, and planning to go to Brazil for the World Cup in 2014.  I’m also heading to the Congo in October after the wedding, but not with the Mr.

Travel is one of the many reasons we don’t want children for a long time (if ever). We are passionate about travel (mainly me which has begun to rub off on him).

I have been all through Europe, Asia, and of course North America. I lived in a few countries for periods of time to allow myself more traveling access as well. My goal is to start knocking off countries in South America with my man, I saved that to share with someone special and since he is Ecuadorian we will do Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands first. πŸ™‚

I’m curious what you thought of Excellence in the Mayan? My hubby are researching Mexico as well as a few other islands in the caribbean. Any feedback would be appreciated! I’ve never been to DR but i have been to Aruba, Antigua and Bahamas.

@mandypop:  I’ve heard great things about Tulum, it is definitely on my list!

@Treejewel19:  that sounds amazing, Galapagos is definitely a place we want to go

OP, great post idea!! We have never been to an AO resort before, so I am definitely going to keep up with this thread πŸ™‚

Travel is one of the reasons we’re waiting on kids for a bit. We went to an AO resort for our honeymoon and it was really nice.

We’d love to get to St. Lucia and the UK in the next few years.

@Treejewel19:  Hey I am Ecuadorian! cool, there aren’t many of us out there:)

I have a 12 year old and I haul him everywhere. Rome, Paris, Amsterdam. I felt REALLY guilty not taking him to Hawaii ( but no too much because we had gone when he was 4) and while me and Fiance were hiking I thought: ” OMG if I have another kid traveling like I do now will be HELL!” So I totally understand why if one loves to travel, they would choose to be CFC!

Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tonga, Niue, Singapore, Indonesia, Lembeh, Philipines, Malaysia, France, United States, Canada – im sure there are a more but cant remember

i cant recall a trip where ive been bothered by children – in fact its usually other aduts that annoy me,  my last long haul flight (23hrs in a plane in Nov) i had a horrible sniffer behind me that made horrible sounds the entire flight

@Angelz_love:  That is awesome! Yeah his mom is from Ecuador and his entire family from her side still lives there. I keep bugging him to arrange a family reunion. πŸ™‚
