This might be a dumb question, but I’m not sure about the answer.
On my RSVP cards, I put, “We have reserved __ seats in your honor.” My question is, for our friends who have babies who are still in carriers and even toddlers, do I count them in the # of reserved seats?? At what age should I start counting them in for the seats?

Anyone who gets their own seat is counted as an individual. That includes toddlers unless they will be sitting on your lap and they need to eat as well. Babies do need to be counted toward the venue capacity but you don’t need to put them in your guest count for the caterer because they won’t be eating solid food. Make sure to talk to the caterer and site coordinator to let them know what is going on.
If you are inviting any children, regardless of age, they need to included in the count on the invite where you say you have reserved x number of seats.
