I like them! And I think the birds look a little vintage. The plate with the wide blue rim may be a little trendy but I think if you don’t like it later, you can mix and match with a plain or almost plain white plate. I’m not sure about the brown. I’d have to see them.

I do like the chirp pattern, but I think you might be right with the Chirp pattern being trendy.  In 50 years, is it going to be like the Stengle Tulips my grandmother has that none of the grandkids want?

I think they’re adorable!!  I love the pattern.  Yes, it may be a little trendy (but not a lot) but it’s got great personality and reflects your style.  If you love them, go for it!  If also picked a pattern that might be considered trendy, but I think its fun and shows my style!  The more you like them, the more you’ll use them…and after all, that’s the purpose of having china!  I’m buying them for ME, not my great-grandkids.

I think it’s gorgeous. I saw this in the store and was swooning. We went with plain white ones b/c we’re boring. I really want a set of pretty, fancy dishware at some point though

We registered for the same china.  We wanted something that reflected our personalities (color) and aren’t worried about trendiness.  Both of our families have loved it.  Should note that it is a Lenox (not Kate Spade) pattern.  Also, it is microwave-safe, dishwasher safe, oven safe and freezer safe unlike many china patterns.

They are indeed cute plates. And if you’re interested in the trendiness of birds at the moment, take note of how many of our bees are getting married with bird cake toppers!

We registered for them also.  And they are even more gorgeous in person. 🙂

I like the brown plates you registered for also.  We registered for plain white dishes in addition to the chirp.  One of the reasons I like chirp so much is that it has the elegance of china, but it’s not too fancy that it can only be used once a year.  I think we’ll get much more use out of them then traditional china.
