I got mine from paperlanternstore.com. They were reasonably priced and I found a coupon online for free shipping. I wasnt’ planning on lighting them at first, but my daughter and sister gave me such a hard time about having “lanterns and no lights in them” that I buckled down and bought the lights. I will definitey be selling them after the wedding to recoup my losses b/c those little led lights are expensive!

I was looking at them on asianideas.com but then I decided to have my florist do them….they are expensive… $12 per lantern to rent and hang….but other places i looked at were like $30 per lantern….that to me is INSANE!! We are having a tented wedding with the lanterns just over the dance floor….

@Jushackett: $12 per lantern?! Are we talking the paper chinese lanterns or the moroccan lanterns? B/c that’s insane. I purchased the 20″ paper lanterns from the paperlanternstore for $2.33. I got a mix of 20″, 16″, 12″, and 8″ b/c I am hanging them in groupings rather than all over the tent.

Try Oriental Trading and you can get lanterns and led lights there.

We bought LED lights off of Ebay and saved so much! They were re-usable with batteries, so we re-sold them. It was even cheaper than throwies!
