@dreamwedding4us:  Yes, there are a lot of horror stories, usually from girls wanting the cheapest dress available.

But if you are willing to pay a bit more, but still a heap cheaper than what you will get in a bridal shop, you can try Jasmines Bridal Shop.  Just do a search here on the Bee and you will see lots of positive reviews and pictures of real dresses.

You can also search my posts for my own experience with them.  They saved me heaps of money for my daughter’s wedding in just 4 weeks time.

@dreamwedding4us:  Yes, they are based in China, but extremely reputable.  The dresses are amazing, just like you see in the bridal shops.  In fact they specialise in custom dresses, so you can change the design, or pick two dresses and they will combine them, eg. top of one and skirt of another.

The beading is absolutely beautiful and all hand done.  They have made a few Elie Saab dresses what are really bead-o-mania.

They made my daughters wedding dress, and all the dresses for the wedding including my MOB dress.  Do a search and read the review and see the actual dresses.  They also have a facebook page.

You may need to do some alterations, or you may not, depends on how accurate you are when you have your measurements taken.

Jasmine’s Bridal and Dressily Me are the two that brides most often choose on this board. They have the best customer service and mist happy percentage of happy brides. Jasmine’s is more expensive-but if your dress design has more detail (beading, embroidery, ect) they are the better option. If your design is more simple and you are on a tight budget, then dressilyme would be a good option.

Jasmine’s or DressilyMe both have GREAT reviews.

But I would just go sample shopping! Go to a bunch of salons and ask for the sample rack. I tried on a $1200 dress that was discounted to $399! And that was mid-priced for the sample rack, AND it was a HUGE ballgown!

I bought mine from Milanoo and also my girls dresses they all came in great I paid with PayPal and had no issues. My seamstress could not believe how great the quality of the dress Was the price . just keep in mind US sizes run smaller then china like I wear a 16/18 US and I had to order a 20 in there size . I did have to have some altering done.

@dreamwedding4us:  There are also great vendors on ETSY that do wedding dresses that are made in China. A friend of mine who is getting married in a few months got her dress from a dressmaker in China on ETSY for only $270 which included shipping and she loved it. The only downside to ordering a custom made dress is to make sure your measurements are accurate before you pay for your dress! KISSBRIDAL is the name of the vendor on ETSY. 🙂 At least you have time on your side so that you have plenty of time and options for wedding dresses. 🙂 Good luck and happy planning!
