I’m using Asrai Garden, they’re in bucktown. The girl who owns it is really nice and fun, you can tell that she really cares, has an artistic vision, is flexible, and isn’t ripping you off. I haven’t had my wedding yet but their portfolio on the website is awesome, I highly recommend them! Just google the name and it’ll come up

ETA: I’m spending 1700ish and 16 centerpieces total, ceremony decorations, 6 bouquets total, 7 bouts total, cake decorating, flower petals- peonies, dahlias, hydrangeas, and queen ann’s lace mostly! 🙂

Hi Friend! You know me, always up for helping out with suggestions. We’re using Joseph’s florist in Libertyville. Ask for Daniel. He’s amazing at helping come up with a vision or fulfilling yours if you already have one. He’s also great about working with whatever budget. Just be totally up front about what you’d like to spend.

We visited Bonnie Flower Shop and Flowers by Born on Irving Park Rd. in Chicago. Bonnie was a total train wreck! I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there for any occasion! Flowers by born was nice at first. Carol has a real vision and she’s truly an artist, but after assuring she’d come in under our budget, it was nearly 2x as much as the maximum amount we gave her! We felt like we’d been given the ol’ bait and switch and that she assumes a bride will pay whatever it takes if she likes the flowers enough. WRONG! There are definitely other places that will be more respectful and will delivery beautiful flowers.

Hope that helps!

Hi ladies!  I am in the floral process at the moment and some of the people I am meeting with are Asrai Gardens (I agree that the owner is awesome-we had a lot in common and she’s definitely passionate), Pollen, Flor del Monte, and Natural Beauties.  I also got a business card from a grower at the Green City Market because I’d love to cut out the middle man and buy from a farmer if I can.  I see it as I save money and they get a bigger chunk of change than selling to a florist.  Anyway, 3 meetings down, 1 to go tomorrow- I’ll let you know what kind of quotes I got.  I really don’t know what to expect, I just talked about what I liked.

We are using Vale of Enna, who is conveniently located in the city.  Grace is the owner and she is really fun to work with!  After meeting with a couple florists we found Grace to be the most competitively priced and liked her portfolio more!

We’re coming in just under 1900 for – 10 centerpieces, 1 escort table arrangement, 5 corsages, 13 boutonnieres, 7 bridesmaid bouquets and 2 bridal bouquets (1 to toss).

I’m using Michelle’s Petal Designs – I was quoted around 1700 for:

5 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet, 6 corsages, 9 bouts, 22 table centerpieces, aisle decorations, 1 ceremony arrangement, and a memorial vase arrangement.

Good luck!

If anyone is in suburbs check out Kim from Blooming Creations. She work out of her house so her pricing will be within your budget. She is the preferred florist for the banquet hall I work at part time so I have seen a lot of her work and it is amazing. She is really accommodating and only required a $100 deposit.

I looked at several florist before her. I getting more flowers that the standard floral shop for $600 less.
