I don’t think those are the worst. I think you could get away with using them easily.

We’re doing Chivari, but we’re having a small wedding. Even so its costing us $900. I know no one is going to pay attention to the chairs, but I will notice/remember them. We’ve put so much effort into the rest of the decor that it would be a shame to ‘ruin’ it with the chairs that my venue offers. They just wouldn’t go at all. I think it just depends how important they are to you. The guests aren’t going to care/remember.

Those aren’t bad, I think they look better than with a chair cover. I opted to go with chivari chairs, we spent about 1100 but we had ugly chairs and with chair covers it would have cost over $500 so another $600 was worth it for us to go with chivari chairs.

That doesn’t look bad at ALL, and it looks WAY more comfortable than Chiavari! I’d stick with them!

Yes, they were worth it. It was a last minute decision for me and one that I do not regret at all. Our venue had white folding chairs which aren’t horrible, but the chivari chairs just tied everything together.

Plus, they’re in the background of SO MANY of the photos our photographer took. I was actually just putting together our wedding album the other night and noticing how great they looked.

@MrsDeLovely:  Think back to all the weddings you have attended. Do you remember what you sat in?? 1200???????????? NOT WORTH IT!! Yes, they’re lovely but not for that amounf of loot!!!!  NO ONE is going to care what they are sitting in, as long as they have a place to sit.

I think if you have the money, and it’s important to you, go for it. I’m doing it. I know it is a silly waste. But my venue posts pictures of the set up for every wedding they do on facebook (not of the wedding, but just the room) and the chairs make a HUGE difference in my space. Also one of my colors is gold, so I really want gold chairs. Ah well.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chivari chairs!!  You can do chair covers and sashes, but I personally think Chivari chairs just look SO good!  Some venues over-price their Chivari chairs though- I saw one place that charged over $20 per chair!! Have you checked with a party rental company to see how much they are?  It would probably be cheaper.  If you are worried about it, I would just splurge for the chivari chairs.

I don’t think it’s worth it, but only *you* know if after the wedding day is over you’ll be happy that you didn’t spend the money, or always upset about the chairs clashing with your decor.

Personally, I wouldn’t upgrade, but that’s because my decor in general was nothing too fancy so it’s not like the money would have been warranted in my case. There is a lot that you can do with $1,200 that would make your guests have a better time, & the chairs just sit there lol.

@MrsDeLovely:  I would ask your venue for a picture of a wedding reception with their standard chairs and for one with chiavari chairs. That may help you make your decision. For what it’s worth, I am upgrading to chiavari chairs.

@MrsDeLovely:  I would also love to see pics of your venue! As I think the chairs really do enhance the decor! What about covering the chairs your venue supplies?

i would never spend  that kind of money for rental chairs. That amount of money would pay for a week in an all inclusive for one of us. That would be a much better memory for me than gazing at a pic of a chair.

Your chairs are perfectly satisfactory. They aren’t even the typical banquet chairs.

@MrsDeLovely:  yeah. Our photographer is one of our biggest splurges and in my mind I just keep thinking that the chairs are going to be in the background of so many photos. To say that they won’t make a difference is wishful thinking, IMO. I know no one else cares, but I just feel like they’ll tie everything together for a more cohesive look.

That being said, they are such a rip off lol 😛
