- Wedding: April 2013
I’ve been reading and reading and reading and I can’t seem to find a solution to my favor connundrum. So, here it goes.
I’m having two favors at my AHR. One is coffee from our Destination wedding in Costa Rica (YAY!) that I’m wrapping in kraft paper, tying with raffia and adding a stamp to with our names etc. Kinda eco-chic and rustic at the same time.
Here’s my issue: our second favor is homemade truffles (which are simple and delish By The Way if anyone wants to try them!). Sounds simple right? Slap some in a box and decorate it up cute! Here’s where it gets tricky: I’m making 6 flavors of truffles and displaying them like a truffle buffet where guests can choose their flavors. So I need to have some type of box/packaging that will not damage the truffles, but will be functional to the people filling the boxes. Here are some inspiration pics;
It could be simple like this, or more complicated like the first pic. BUT – I can’t pretie it and seal the boxes, because the guests will have to fill them with whatever types of truffles they want. I am giving them 4 truffles per guest so a container has to be big enough to hold 4 pcs. I looked and looked and looked for a “matchbox” style box that I could tie the ribbon around it would still allow guests to slide it open and fill, but could not find anything. I’d really like to stick with kraft type boxes.
I’m super crafty so I could make pretty much anything, but I feel like my brain is so fried now from looking at pages and pages of ideas that I can’t get any new ideas.
Anyone have any ideas? Help! 🙂
Thanks so much! 🙂
