Have you picked and booked the venue yet? If not, you may want to hold off on colors. Some venues have very distinct styles and color schemes already, and you don’t want to pick colors then have to re-pick later.

what about silver or shades of grey or shades of taupe/beige?

green is the complimentary colour for red but you don’t want it to look like christmas.

Have you consulted with your Fiance about his color preferences? 😉

In our case, we happened to have the same favorite color, so that decision was easy. I know that grooms typically don’t care about the fine details as much as brides, but this one might be worth running by him.

@franstef:  That’s too bad … mypinkshoes’ suggestion is gorgeous, though, and I bet your guy will like it. The gunmetal looks very sleek and modern, and the red is very dramatic.

What about red and light blue or light turquoise?

What if your BM’s wear white dresses with red accents.. as for an additional color, I really like light blue or silvers.

Is there a reason why your gown is red? Or is this just preference?

How about black n white (think damask)? Or throw in some gold accents?
