I’m 90 percent sure we’re going with the year 2013. I’ve always loved fall weddings, but I’m a college student and it may be difficult tying up loose ends for a wedding while in school or having a destination wedding. How did you pick your day?
My lucky number is 7 so here is what I came up with.
1) Get married on our 7th anniversary which is Sunday May 26th 2013
2) Get married on Sunday July 7th 2013
3) Get married on Friday June 7th 2013- Mother-In-Law to be has already said not to do it near high school graduations and my SIL to be would gradate that year.

I love spring weddings! i think May would be really nice (plus it might fall on memorial day weekends in the future which will make for great anniversary getaways!)- where are getting married?
We chose are date based on my brothers deployment overseas – we really wanted a spring wedding but he was set to leave in late february/early march – it was either go ahead and plan it or wait another 7 months till he got back – we opted for planning, we didnt want to wait – so we picked the farthest date out with my brother still being in the states so thats how we landed in mid February.

I think it’s tough to plan dates around certain numbers and such, just my opinion. HS graduations are usually in late June, I believe, so the 7th probably wouldn’t conflict.
Are you set on a Friday/Sunday wedding? Lucky numbers aside, usually Saturdays are easier to do.
We picked ours sort of randomly. We wanted June, and it needed to be after school was out for summer (my husband’s a teacher) June 12 it was.

@hotchildinthecity: This area school lets out around June 1st-5th with graduation ceremony on 6th or 7th. My SIL to be would probably be in the wedding party and that’s her graduation year…I’ll have to see if she can find out her ceremony date.
I’m not dead set on Friday or Sunday. I’ll be done with school for the summer the beginning of May and I don’t work so I can stay home with our kiddos.
I guess it probably would be tough to plan around a certain date. I didn’t think of that with venues and all…Hmmm
Thank you for your input! 🙂

@TequilaSunrise: Oh yeah, if you could swing a Saturday, I’m sure your guests, bridal party, etc. would really appreciate it!

Your 7th anniversary date is a good one looking at significance, and also I think it would be cheaper when booking things. Friday is also a cheaper date for venues and such. Everything has it’s pros and cons… I would go for your anniversary date (that is my plan as well), although if you want to have another special day to celebrate each year, maybe 7/7 or 6/7 would be better 🙂

I voted for your anniversary date, but if you can swing a Saturday that works for you, that might be better (depending on what kind of reception you’re planning)!
