I am in need of some desperate help! I have a budget of $10,000 and we would like to do a Destination Wedding. There is my Fiance and I plus our four children. I am looking for some place that allows us to afford the trip plus the wedding! We don’t want anything big and fancy but rather just a simple beach ceremony without flair. Simple and sweet is our style. We were hoping for Hawaii but the prices are making me think twice…Can anyone help me?

@Cuddle Bug: What about a Florida DW?

Ours is slightly over your budget, we did Mexico. I liked the idea of the all inclusive resorts~

Mexico is good too. That’s where we’ll have our vow renewal next year. 😉

You could definitely do it for 10k if you go to Mexico and do an all-inclusive. I know RIU hotels are kid friendly and very affordable for all inclusives: http://www.riu.com/en/home.jsp’ defer=’defer

So my Fiance and I wanted to do a Destination Wedding but after moving to a new city and state we realized this is a Destination Wedding for our family and friends. So we are still staying in the same budget and having our family and friends come to us. At first when I think of a Destination Wedding I thought of out of the US but if you want a affordable beach wedding consider in the US. Maybe Florida, California or maybe even South Carolina or Savanah, GA. Good luck.

@Cuddle Bug: I think you could do a caribbean destination on your budget (DR, Mexico, Jamaica). However, I would look into the international laws to get married to make sure its what you want. Domestically, Las Vegas can easily be done, florida too.

What about the Outer Banks in NC? You could rent a beachfront house for your entire family for a week and do the wedding there. Or Tybee Island in Georgia or Sanibel Island in Florida or one of the resorts in the Florida Keys? Or heck, hit the Cape or Martha’s Vineyard in the shoulder season for a closer beach.

We just got married in Jamaica. It was fairly easy, and fairly budget friendly. Are you wanting to spend money on guests diers as well, or just yourself, your fiance, and four children?

Have you thought about doing a cruise? We have a group of 12 going with us and our wedding (ceremony, gowns, etc) are under $10k. We also wanted the vacation, only we didn’t want to deal with airports and TSA and wands. Most of the larger cruise lines use NYC as a hub (including Disney and the Carnival brands)
