Fiance and I are going to be ordering wedding bands in the next few months, and I’m feeling particularly torn between three options!
My e-ring is an oval diamond, w/halo and diamonds along the band (I can attach a pic if that helps!). I definitely want to wear the two together. My Fiance has a good idea of what he wants for his wedding band — we found a jeweler who does rings made from dinosaur bone, meteorite, and titanium (they look really nice, and he gets a fun manly band).
For wedding bands, my choices are:
A) thin meteorite band.
I love the idea of having our rings “tie together,” and could get a ring made from the same piece of meteorite. My big concern here is that it’d be 100% non-resizable. We want to have kids in future, and I’m not sure if my fingers would return to the same size.
B) thin diamond band.
Whenever I see pics of similar engagement rings with diamonds on the wedding band, I think it’s gorgeous! I think this looks the best, but I’m not sure if it’s practical. I take my e-ring off when touching food that could get stuck in the little crevices (like raw chicken), and I’d have to do this with wedding band if I went this route. I’d also potentially feel less comfortable wearing it when we travel outside of North America.
C) thin white gold band
This is obviously the most practical — simple, resizeable, wouldn’t really have to take it off. I just don’t know if it’s as pretty as the diamond band combo.
Did any bees face similar questions when picking a wedding band? What did you go with, and do you regret it?
