I absolutely love my engagement ring. It has a circular diamond surrounded by a halo setting of smaller diamonds on a simple white gold band. I love it because it has a classic, but almost vintage feel.
I want the same feeling for my wedding band. We looked at a bunch of different rings… My family all told me to get a plain white gold band, but it just wasn’t for me. I want something more special. I also don’t like the bands that have the tiny diamonds that go all the way around it. This is the band that “goes” with my ring. Again, beautiful! But not for me. Anyway, I found a ring at Gabriel & Co. It’s part of the stackable collection and it looks really beautiful with my engagement ring.
The only issue I’m having is the price. (I’m so cheap…) It’s originally about $1,800, but the jeweler I’m working with is going to give it to us for about $900. Which is a fantastic deal, but we are really tight on money right now. Teachers in FL really don’t get paid enough to buy fancy things.
They have this ring also…
It’s basically the same with less diamonds. The jeweler would give this one to us for about $600. It’s pretty and I like it… but I love the first one. I don’t want to be selfish or regret my purchase. My fiancé thinks we should get the ring I love… but I’m thinking about all the money we’re spending and PANICKING.
Am I being unreasonable? My fiance keeps reminding me that in 10 years, $900 isn’t going to seem like we spent alot… But right now we’re living basically paycheck-to-paycheck. You know?
