Bees, please help me because I really can’t decide!
Here’s some background info: The colors for our wedding are grey and peacock blue. I had the bridesmaids choose a chiffon dress from the Eden Bridesmaids line. We went to an authorized dealer here and looked at the swatches – I was interested in “slate.” The chiffon slate looked like a dark bluish grey, and so I placed the order with Netbride. A few weeks ago, the dresses arrived. They were beautiful in all aspects, except they were NOT the color I thought they’d be. The tags said “slate” but they looked more like a very very light blue. In some lighting, it looked like a light grey, but for the most part, they looked blue. I spoke to Netbride, and there was really nothing they could do for me, because it was technically the color I ordered. I decided that because I couldn’t do anything, I would just roll with it. I made grey chiffon flowers to go in their hair (they originally were going to have peacock blue chiffon flowers), and I changed their jewelry to be made out of gunmetal grey.
However, it still bothered me. The groomsmen are wearing grey suits with peacock blue ties, and I don’t know if that will match with the light blue dresses. In a state of panic, I went to TheLimited online, and I ordered a grey dress that I liked. They came in, and the color was perfect. It just wasn’t the style I had envisioned my bridesmaids to wear.
So, I thought I’d ask the wise bees for their opinion! Should I go with the wrong color, but right look, and make it work? Or should I go with the right color, but wrong look, and make THAT work?
#7266 is one of the styles that was ordered. Love the flowy look!
#7213 is an example of what the color looks like in person. Don’t get me wrong – I think the color is great! It’s just unexpected, and will it match peacock blue ties?
TheLimited Addision is what I ordered in grey. I think this dress is very pretty! But it doesn’t match the style of the wedding as well as the Eden dresses.

Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
