I am getting married next year in a music venue. It is dark and beautiful barn that has been converted into a stage with plenty of room for dancing.
I have interviewed 5 photographers and narrowed it down to two. Photographer one is not local and will cost an extra $1,000. That is a big amount of money that could go to say, the band. However, I am willing to pay for an excellent photographer. This photographer and I definitely clicked, but not on a friendly level. She seems to get exactly what I want, but she is also very good at what she does. She makes every wedding look gorgeous and has huge portfolio. The only down side is she seems to not want to spend as much time at the wedding. She mentions often that she leaves before it is over (which is normal, so that’s ok.) She seems to have a formula for how to take excellent photos and moves on.
Photographer two is local and cheaper. My only issue with her is that she does not have as large of a portfolio. Her work is gorgeous. However, her website does not have as many photos of indoor ceremonies. We clicked like old friends from the minute we spoke. She knows a lot of about the venue, my area and in general seems like someone I would like to get ot know more. I have asked her for more examples of her work.
I know both of them will do an amazing job. I feel very confident that photographer one will give excellent indoor photos becuase he portfolio reflects that. I love photographer two becuase I think we could colaborate together and come up with really fun ideas. Any advice would be excellent!
