The church is large and gothic (like Will and Kate’s Westminster Abby) church. The walls and pews are a dark mahogany wood, as is the front, and plaster color. The carpet and seat cushions are bright red. I love green – hunter and grass – but am not sure how those would fit. I don’t really want a Christmas red and green feeling, tho we don’t have a date yet. It will be an evening wedding, formal attire. What two or three colors would work? Thanks!

You can always keep it simple at the church and play up the colors at your recption and with the programs eatc. you could go with a rustic theme so the dark wood plays in nicely, you can always do simple white and add in a spalch of other colors for the church…

hmm…I think you should worry more about just choosing colors that you like rather than trying to match the bright red carpet! (ugh!)
gold? dark blue? hunter green would be nice. Green and black, I don’t think anyone would think that was Christmasy.
