- Wedding: July 2015 - Springfield Golf & Country Cub
So we’ve chosen a few vendors since booking our venue at the wondeful Springfield Golf & Country Club, the first thing we booked (and even booked before the venue) was the spectacualr cake vendor of CakeFest Sugar Art!!! We’re having passion fruit on one tier and strawberries and crème on another with a elephant bride and groom topper!! Besides the flavor, and the elephant topper the cake is also going to be lavender color which is awesome since my favorite color is purple. Can you tell I’m excited?? The other day we also booked our florist with Twinbrook Floral Design, they were wonderful in trying to help me invision the perfect floral arangments and details and even pulled out flowers to give me examples. We’ve also ordered our invites and RSVP cards from Zazzle.com because there was a promotion from Groupon.com for their invites and it was SOOO worth it, they came out gorgous and at a very VERY awesome price.
We’ve decided to DIY some things though, we were orginially going to do a carnation curtain backdrop for the ceremony but changed it (due to the price) to white feathers with their tips dipped in our wedding colors on fishing string so that they look a if they’re floating. We’ve also purchased some lace curtains to put on the window where the ceremony alter is. We’ve gone to IKEA for most of our DIY items and we also go these adorable lanterns for the asile with candles we can put in them. We still have to buy the fake flower petals and the aisle runner but buying them ourselves was the cheaper option than having someone else do them. Other than that we’ve also bought the wine bottles that we’ll be using for centerpieces with the floral vendor (and yes I drank all that wine! Just not in one day 😉 ) and the canldes and glasses that will circle the centerpieces.
Everything is coming together great and there’s still a little over a year befor our wedding! I love planning and planning early but now I feel like I have all this extra time to search for ideas and deals and other things I missed (still currently looking for a DJ and we’re meeting our photographer this weekend) can you other brides think of things that you may have missed???
